There are many advantages to flickr. It is very nice and helpful. It helps me find pictures without worrying about copyright. All the pictures are in the public domain. I like flickr. You are legally allowed to use most of the time 10%. Fair use guidelines tell us how much of the copyrighted material we can use without violating the law.
·         You can use up to 10%, but no more than 1000 words of essays, articles, or stories, of a single copyrighted work.
·         You can use up to 250 words of an entire poem, or portion of a poem.
·         You cannot use more than 3 poems from a single poet.

Reflection

I think the most helpful topic that we covered was the online safety. We cover it so much but you forget. I think this was really helpful. When he came in to talk to us that was really helpful. I feel like he actually taught us instead of just saying here write this down. The best tool you have on the internet is common sense.
I also think learning how to make a secure password really helped. I realized that when I make a password that it should be easy for me to remember but hard for others to guess. Now, when I make any new accounts I am sure to put more thought into it. Passwords are to be taken seriously.
From now on I will take passwords more seriously. I also know now that online safety is very important. Overall I think that the above thoughts were the most important things that we learned.

New Technology

The new technology article I read is about picking up after your dog. They take your dogs DNA. This costs you $35. If you dont pick up after your dog they take the evidence. They get the DNA from it and link it to which dog it was. If its your dog they charge you $100. Plus, you have to pay another $49 to cover the fee of sending in your evidence. I think this is a dumb idea. Just hire someone to clean it up. Its not that big of a deal.
